Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 January 2026 · Effective date: 20 January 2026
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, "Wristlore", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the watch repair and restoration business operating under that name at 52 Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Service" means any watch repair, servicing, restoration, or related work performed by Wristlore. "Client" and "you" refer to the individual or entity engaging our services. "Timepiece" refers to any watch or horological item entrusted to us. "Agreement" refers to these Terms together with any written estimate or confirmation of service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a timepiece for service, making an enquiry, or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not engage our services. Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and above who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and are the rightful owners of any timepiece submitted.
3. Service Description
Wristlore offers three watch care services: the Quartz Care Package (MYR 1,500), Mechanical Restoration (MYR 4,800), and Legacy Preservation (MYR 8,200). Full descriptions of each service are available on our website. Services are performed at our workshop in Kuala Lumpur. Geographic service availability is limited to customers able to bring or send timepieces to our Kuala Lumpur location.
4. Estimates, Pricing and Payment
A written estimate is provided before any service begins. No work will commence without the client's confirmation. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). If additional work is required beyond the original estimate, we will contact you before proceeding. The final invoice will not exceed the confirmed estimate without prior agreement. Payment is due upon collection of the timepiece. We accept bank transfer and major debit or credit cards.
5. Timelines
Quoted turnaround times are estimates. They are provided in good faith but are not contractual commitments. Delays may occur due to parts availability, unforeseen complexity, or circumstances outside our control. We will notify you promptly if a significant delay is anticipated.
6. Intake and Handling of Timepieces
We record the condition of every timepiece on intake and photograph it. These records are maintained as part of the service file. Original components that are replaced during service are catalogued and returned to the client unless the client instructs otherwise in writing. Wristlore takes reasonable care of all timepieces while in our custody, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, inherent fragility, or faults that were not visible or apparent at the time of intake.
7. Refunds and Disputes
If you are not satisfied with a completed service, please contact us within 14 days of collection. We will examine the concern and, where the issue falls within the scope of the original service, we will address it at no additional charge. We do not provide cash refunds except in cases where a service cannot be completed and we have received payment in advance.
We do not offer refunds for services where the client's expectations were based on information not provided to us prior to the work commencing.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Wristlore website — including text, design, images, and brand elements — is the property of Wristlore or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written permission.
9. User Responsibilities
When using our website or services, you agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information. You agree not to misrepresent the ownership or condition of any timepiece. You agree not to engage in any conduct that could harm Wristlore or other clients.
10. Disclaimers
Watch repair involves inherent risk. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot be responsible for damage arising from the condition of a timepiece prior to service, from original parts that are found to be beyond reasonable repair, or from circumstances genuinely outside our control. Our services are provided on the basis of skill and care, not on the basis of guaranteed outcomes. No watch service can be said to restore a piece to precisely its factory state.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Wristlore's liability in connection with any service is limited to the price paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Wristlore harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation of ownership, or your misuse of our services.
13. Termination
Either party may withdraw from a service agreement prior to work commencing. If Wristlore has already incurred costs (such as parts ordered on your behalf), those costs may be charged. Once a service is in progress, withdrawal may incur a fee reflecting the work completed to that point.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally in the first instance. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage clients to contact us directly at [email protected] to discuss concerns before seeking formal resolution.
15. General Provisions
These Terms, together with any written service estimate, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wristlore in respect of the services described. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign your rights under this Agreement to any third party without our written consent.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. We will aim to notify clients of material changes via email if we hold your contact details. Continued engagement with our services after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
